Prime Video has dropped the trailer for its upcoming series ‘Half Pants Full Pants’ and its one heartwarming tale of a kid who wishes to follow his multiple dreams. Helmed by V. K. Prakash, ‘Half Pants Full Pants’ will premiere only on Prime Video India on 16th December, 2022.
Set in a small South Indian town ‘Half Pants Full Pants’ trailer follows Anand Subbarao aka Dabba, a young kid who is a karate aspirant and according to him it is about strength and having no fear.
On the other hand Anand’s father, who works in the railways, is worried about him because of his mischiefs all day every day. Meanwhile Anand is busy living his innocent childhood with his friends, converting coins into magnets on railway track to solving cases of his own.
His dreams are many and apart from learning karate, he also wants join an orchestra and become a drummer. Seeing him going astray Anand’s father advises him to focus on his studies rather than pursuing stupid dreams.
Things get serious when Anand gets caught stealing, bringing shame to the family. With all the drama happening, Anand takes the decision of leaving home to fulfil his dreams. He then sets out a journey of self exploration with no idea of what lies ahead.
‘Half Pants Full Pants’ is a series from the times when there were no mobile phones or internet. It is a nostalgic ride about imagination, adventures and magic of childhood. A little boy from a railway colony strives to bring his modest family a modicum of glory through highly fanciful means while constantly being brought back to reality by his level headed father.
Touted to be a universal story of child Vs man, ‘Half Pants Full Pants’ is directed by V. K. Prakash and stars Ashwanth Ashok Kumar, Sonali Kulkarni, Ashish Vidyarthi and Kartik Vijan among others.
