In a world where video game adaptations are the new CBM, Halo has a good chance of being massively loved by fans. If it adds the spice of an apocalyptic world, this survival FPP game managed to carve its place in the gaming world and is now attempting to do the same with binge-watchers.
“How high are the stakes?” states the omnipresent narrator as we enter the trailer.
Pablo Schreiber stars as Master Chief John-117, leading elite Spartans against the Covenant in Season 2. The description of the second season reads:
“Master Chief John-117 (Schreiber) leads his team of elite Spartans against the alien threat known as the Covenant. In the wake of a shocking event on a desolate planet, John cannot shake the feeling that his war is about to change and risks everything to prove what no one else will believe — that the Covenant is preparing to attack humanity’s greatest stronghold. With the galaxy on the brink, John embarks on a journey to find the key to humankind’s salvation, or its extinction: the Halo.”
With new showrunner David Wiener at the helm, the trailer makes a lot of promises to fans. The budget appears well-spent, and the Paramount original show has elevated the grandeur and visuals. Featuring compelling dialogues and stunning shots, Halo clearly states that it doesn’t just aim to satisfy hardcore fans.
This year, video game adaptations will push viewers to the limit, as the 2024 and 2025 calendars seem filled with these adapted films and series. Is this just a momentary hit, or are they here to stay for the long run? Comic book films, watch out!
The series will be streaming from February 8th, and JioCinema will be your destination. If you’ve refrained from watching the trailer, click below and let us know your response.
