Halo’s Voot Premiere To Set Milestone For OTT Platform

In case you haven’t heard already, the highly anticipated Paramount Plus web series, Halo, is releasing on the Indian OTT platform, Voot Select in a couple of weeks. The OTT platform has been releasing many major web series from around the globe – including ones streaming on major OTT platforms such as Showtime and Paramount Plus and even major networks like BBC One. However, Halo will set a new precedent for the OTT platform – Halo will be Voot Select’s first game adapted TV series premiere.

Voot Select has been surprisingly well in the past couple of years. While the OTT platform has been releasing some brilliant regional content, the Indian digital platform has been bagging the streaming rights for some surprisingly good Hollywood web series like Dexter: New Blood, Super Pumped and Yellow Jackets. So it shouldn’t come as a surprise that Voot has managed to get the streaming rights for Halo as well.

Halo is an award-winning game series that revolutionalised first-person shooting games for consoles like never before. This Microsoft game series is also very popular around the globe and multiple references to the game can be seen in everyday lives such as Microsoft’s virtual assistant, Cortana and the call sign of the game series protagonist, Master Chief. The upcoming show has a myriad of stars including Pablo Schreiber, Natascha McElhone, Yerin Ha, Charlie Murphy, Jen Taylor, Shabana Azmi, Bokeem Woodbine, Kate Kennedy, Natasha Culzac and Bentley Calu. The Steven Spielberg produced fantasy sci-fi series is written and developed by Kyle Killen and Steven Kane.
