Accomplished filmmaker Hansal Mehta is riding high on the success of SonyLIV’s cult web series ‘Scam 1992’ starring talented actor Pratik Gandhi. On the other hand, another dynamic filmmaker Anubhav Sinha, who had helmed Taapsee Pannu’s riveting marital drama ‘Thappad’, had recently announced a slate of upcoming projects.
And now, if some recent reports are to be believed, Anubhav Sinha is teaming up with T-series honcho Bhushan Kumar to produce a thriller film to be directed by none other than Hansal Mehta. Incidentally, Anubhav Sinha had previously collaborated with Bhushan Kumar for the 2020 film ‘Thappad’. The trio’s upcoming film is reportedly said to be based on a true incident (as per Bollywood Hungama).
It will be super interesting to see the creative synergies from the first ever association between Hansal Mehta, Anubhav Sinha, and Bhushan Kumar. The yet untitled thriller film is ostensibly in the pre-production phase for some time.
Although according to a few reports, the upcoming ambitious project will purportedly cast two fresh faces. While, as per a report by leading publication Amar Ujala, actor Aditya Rawal, who was seen in Zee5’s 2020 romantic film ‘Bamfaad’, has been cast in Hansal Mehta’s film. As per the report, the shooting for the film has already begun. Furthermore, alongside Aditya Rawal, Kunal Kapoor’s son will also be seen in the film.
In case both these news reports are with reference to the same film being helmed by the trio of Hansal Mehta, Anubhav Sinha, and Bhushan Kumar, then the talented ‘Bamfad’ actor Aditya Rawal’s acting career might get an encouraging boost just like ‘Scam 1992’ made another proficient actor Pratik Gandhi an overnight sensation in the Indian film and television circuit.
Stay tuned to Binged for latest updates for the highly anticipated Hansal Mehta’s next directorial thriller film.
