‘Raayan’ has only one day left before its release and it is easily one of the most anticipated titles coming from the Tamil film industry in recent times. Fans are excited as it is Dhanush’s second directorial and also his 50th movie as the lead.
But it seems that the hype has increased manifolds after the movie being certified with an ‘A’. We had seen how ‘Maharaja’ was given an UA certificate and was criticized for it but it went on to be a huge hit despite the problematic certification. Here, in the case of ‘Raayan’, the certification seems to have built an intrigue that is very similar to that of ‘Animal’. It is not that only films with adult themes and elements are going to be hits at the box office, but recent trends hint that portrayal of violence in a creative way and marketing it in promotions might help a film in miraculous ways.
Raayan did not show much buzz initially, but the A certificate seems to have done a good job in hyping it up and netizens are talking about it as well.
There was significantly lesser anticipation in the Telugu regions regarding the movie and in a recent promotional event Dhanush has said, “‘Raayan’ features all the elements you expect from me – good dialogues, action, and songs. I believe the Telugu audience will definitely enjoy this movie.” But it looks like the movie will make the pace up and do good in other regions as well.
