HBO has released the trailer for second season of the original drama series ‘House of The Dragon’ and there’s a war being waged for the ‘iron throne’, but who will claim it remains the question.
‘House of The Dragon’ season 2 trailer offers an intriguing glimpse of the magnificence that is about to unfold in the series. Westeros is on the brink of a bloody civil war with the Green and Black Councils fighting for King Aegon and Queen Rhaenyra, respectively. As each side believes theirs to be the rightful seat on the Iron Throne, the two sides reflect two perspectives in separate yet complementary halves of the same story.
Based on George R.R. Martin’s “Fire & Blood,” the series, set 200 years before the events of “Game of Thrones,” tells the story of House Targaryen. The show is created, showrun and executive produced by George R.R. Martin and Ryan Condal.
The new cast members joining season 2 of ‘House of The Dragon’ are Abubakar Salim as Alyn of Hull, Gayle Rankin as Alys Rivers, Freddie Fox as Ser Gwayne Hightower, Simon Russell Beale as Ser Simon Strong, Clinton Liberty as Addam of Hull, Jamie Kenna as Ser Alfred Broome, Kieran Bew as Hugh, Tom Bennett as Ulf, Tom Taylor as Lord Cregan Stark, and Vincent Regan as Ser Rickard Thorne.
Meanwhile returning star cast includes Matt Smith, Olivia Cooke, Emma D’Arcy, Eve Best, Steve Toussaint, Fabien Frankel, Ewan Mitchell, Tom Glynn-Carney, Sonoya Mizuno, and Rhys Ifans. Additional returning cast includes Harry Collett, Bethany Antonia, Phoebe Campbell, Phia Saban, Jefferson Hall, and Matthew Needham.
‘House of The Dragon’ season 2 will debut 16th June, 2024 on HBO and will be available to stream on Max.
