Everyone or at least the kinds of the 90s have grown up on a healthy dose of cartoons which were not only humorous but also imparted life lessons in ways that attracted young minds. HBO Max is slated to develop a list of adult animated series to keep their viewers enticed and reminisce upon the old days. So here is what you should know about it.
One of the most eye-grabbing series on the list has to be the spin-off of the famous Scooby Dooby Doo character Velma Dinkley. Velma Dinkley was the brains that fuelled the entire group and went unappreciated at times but this series is a stand-alone and helps us take a further look into her background. Velma Dinkley will be voiced by Mindy Kaling who rose to fame with The Office.
Apart from this HBO Max is also developing more seasons of Clone High. The original show aired in 2002 and shows us a high school which is populated by clones of famous historical figures. Joan of Arc, Cleopatra, JFK, Gandhi, Abraham Lincoln are some of the notable figures whose clones have been recreated as teenagers who are facing 20th Century teen issues. Phil Lord and Chris Miller will be teaming up not only as the writers but also the executive producers of this show.
Fired on Mars is another animated series that comes under the existential workplace comedy which is based in the Martian Campus of a modern tech company. Pete Davison of SNL fame will be giving his voice to one of the characters in this series.
These are just a few more names that have been added to an otherwise brimming list of titles that have already been announced by HBO such as Harley Quinn, The Prince, 10 year old Tom, etc.
This is really good news for everyone who wants to relive a part of their nostalgia as cartoons remind us of a time when things were a little more carefree.
