Warner Media and its streaming service HBO Max have swooped in to pick up the hit Spanish thriller series La Jauría for exclusive streaming rights in the USA. What’s interesting is that HBO Max has managed to grab the buzzy crime series for streaming in America from Amazon Prime Video. La Jauría is streamed by Amazon Prime Video across Latin America and Spain.
Worldwide distribution rights of the Spanish-language thriller are owned by Fremantle. It is a production of Pablo and Juan de Dios Larraín’s Fabula, makers of the Oscar-winning A Fantastic Woman. The show will definitely be a commendable addition to the streaming slate of HBO Max, which is looking to ramp up its subscriber. numbers HBO Max is on an acquisition spree with an aim to achieve the aforementioned goal.
HBO Max has set 8th December 2020 as the premiere date for the well-received show. It consists of 8 episodes and tells a gripping story of crime and depravation. A young girl disappears, leading police investigators into a racket involving an online game that grooms men into assaulting women.
La Jauría stars Daniela Vega (A Fantastic Woman) and Antonia Zegers (Fugitivos). It has been directed by Lucía Puenzo. Amazon Prime Video premiered the show in Latin America and Spain in July.
