HBO Max rebranded to Max on May 23, 2023, but the new platform has been struggling to give a good experience to users. Interestingly, those regions used to flawlessly stream titles when HBO Max was not Max.
In contrast, the newly revamped JioCinema has been delivering a smooth streaming experience. The platform perfectly streamed the last episode of Succession, which has a rating of 9.6 on IMDb and is the highest-rated episode of the season so far.
The difference in performance between Max and JioCinema is likely due to a number of factors. Max is a newer platform, and it is still working out some kinks. JioCinema, on the other hand, has been around for a few years and has had time to improve its streaming infrastructure.
