There are rumors about a Harry Potter web series now with the new slate of HBO Max shows. Sarah Aubrey seems to be quite determined to have an original show on the wizard and his magical world.
It is rumored David Zaslav, the new CEO of Warner Bros. had previously planned a meeting with the writer of the franchise, J.K Rowling, about the continuation of the story. The spin off movie of the franchise, ‘Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them’ was not as successful as planned.
The Last book of the Harry Potter series, ‘Harry Potter And The Cursed Child’ is yet to be adapted to a feature film. Recent events have alienated the writer J.K Rowling from the Harry Potter film fraternity. Her separatist and sexist words have faced a lot of backlash from fans of the series and even the actors and makers.
So it is still very doubtful about who will write the story for the series if there is any chance to make one. Nobody will be able to expand the universe that Rowling has created as beautifully as her. So, most probably she will have to return to write for the HBO Max original if there is any.
Sarah Aubrey is dealing with the DC universe with new shows like ‘The PeacemaKer’ and ‘The Penguin’. She has led the successful and stylish shows like ‘The Flight Attendant’, ‘Sex Lives Of College Girls’. These are the shows that help HBO Max to stand out among so much OTT content. Sarah’s purview in the Zaslav run era now is tripling on Warner Bros. Discovery shows like ‘Dune : The Sisterhood’, ‘IT’ prequel series, ‘The Penguin’, ‘Green Lantern’ etc. Her leadership makes it quite convincing for the fans that there is high possibility for a new Harry Potter Show that will not actually disappoint the huge fan base of the franchise.
