HBO’s Tiger aims to show us what went behind the highs and lows of this great sporting personality.
HBO’s Tiger is a two-part documentary about Tiger Woods who is one of the most celebrated golfers in history having won 82 official PGA tour events and 15 majors. He is joint 1st for official PGA tour wins along with Sam Snead and 2nd in total majors won preceded only by Jack Nicklaus who won 18.
Tiger Woods had it all until a scandal in 2009 shattered the image of this golden child prodigy who would grace this game and leave his stamp on it forever. Tiger woods was the epitome of what a successful golfer should be, and his personal life looked enviable from the outside, but the fame had taken its toll on him. HBO’s Tiger aims to shed light on how all of this celibacy had grave consequences.
It would have been easy enough for anybody else to go in a downward spiral of remorse and guilt, but Tiger Woods came out of that hole and resurrected his career by coming clean and reclaiming the title of one of the best golfers in the world. Getting to the top is always tough, but what’s toughest is to find the determination to start again especially when you have had such a big setback, and HBO’s Tiger celebrates this resolute will to conquer the game and life.
HBO’s Tiger will be available on 17th January on HBO Max and will also be available for Indian viewers on Disney+ Hotstar premium.
