Akin to its parent show ‘Game of Thrones’, HBO’s recently concluded prequel series ‘House of the Dragon’ Season-1 stunned the audiences with the brutally unpredictable and violent finale. The events shown in HOTD S1’s tenth and final episode had the emotionally charged fans wanting for more. So, the wait for ‘House of the Dragon’ Season-2 naturally reached its peak just after Season-1 ended.
For all those of you who have been waiting with bated breath for a reliable update on ‘House of the Dragon’ Season-2 release details, HBO and HBO Max’s Chairman and CEO Casey Bloys has recently revealed that, the show’s highly anticipated second season will come out sometime in the 2024 (contrary to an expected 2023 release date). Although the exact release month is currently not known.
It is pertinent to mention here that, around two years back, Casey Bloys had correctly stated the precise month of release for ‘House of the Dragon’ Season-1, which was, August 2022.
In case we take into account the filming duration for ‘House of the Dragon’ Season-1, it began filming in April 2021, wrapped production in February 2022, and finally premiered in August 2022.
So, considering the same time frame, ‘House of the Dragon’ Season-2 will begin filming in Spain in the early months of 2023, say, March 2023. So, it seems likely that ‘House of the Dragon’ Season-2 is expected to arrive in July 2024. Yes, it’s a long wait but the wait should be worth it.
