Earlier this year, it was revealed that Hollywood actor Mark Ruffalo, who recently starred in the romantic comedy film ‘Poor Things’ and Shawn Levy’s Netflix series ‘All the Light We Cannot See’, was roped in to play the lead role in an HBO Task Force based series. The show is based on an original idea by Brad Ingelsby, who is a well-known name in Hollywood for creating the critically acclaimed HBO crime drama series ‘Mare of Easttown’.
The yet untitled upcoming Mark Ruffalo led HBO series has rounded out its cast. As per the latest update, the show has cast three more actors in interesting roles. ‘Army of the Dead’ actor Raul Castillo has been cast in the role of Cliff, who is the best friend of Robbie (Tom Pelphrey). ‘Wednesday’ actor Jamie McShane and Sam Keeley will be essaying the roles of a feared man and a local crime boss, respectively.
Set amidst the backdrop of the working-class areas on the outskirts of Philadelphia, the basic plot of the HBO series revolves around an FBI agent, who is in charge of a special task force. He makes it his mission to get to the bottom of a series of drug house robberies executed by an unsuspecting family man and to stop them from happening again.
Besides acting in the forthcoming HBO Task Force show, Mark Ruffalo also serves as one of its executive producers. The ‘Avengers’ actor will be seen on the big screen in Bong Joon-ho’s sci-fi flick ‘Mickey 17’ with Robert Pattinson in the lead role.
