HBO’s The Last of Us Season 2 has received four new cast members. The upcoming season will be based on Naughty Dog’s highly controversial video game, The Last of Us Part II.
Danny Ramirez (The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Top Gun: Maverick), Spencer Lord (Family Law, Riverdale), Ariela Barer (Runways, How to Blow Up a Pipeline), and Tati Gabrielle (Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, You) have joined The Last of Us Season 2.
Lord will play Owen, described as a “gentle soul trapped in a warrior’s body”. Ramirez will portray Manny, a loyal soldier who fears that he will fail his friends when they need him the most. Gabrielle will don the character of Nora, a medic who still struggles with the sins of her past. Barer has been cast as Mel, a young doctor, committed to saving lives despite facing challenges due to tribalism and the hard-hitting realities of war.
The filming for The Last of Us Season 2 has commenced in Canada. It means more actors may join the second season soon apart from the existing ones. The duo of Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey is already leading the sophomore instalment as Joel and Ellie. Alongside these two highly talented individuals, we have Gabriel Luna as Tommy, Joel’s brother. In addition, Kaitlyn Dever is all set to appear as Abby in the forthcoming season. We will also see Isabela Merced playing Dina, Ellie’s love interest. Moreover, Catherine O’Hara is a part of Season 2. HBO has not yet revealed O’Hara’s character in the second season. Stay tuned for more updates.
