The mammoth series Heeramandi is just a week away from getting released. It is perhaps the biggest venture ever taken on any OTT platform and the grandeur of things has to be in resonance with the grandeur of the series.
Bhansali always makes films with the big stars and he doesn’t lack the contacts to not use them. So yesterday was the big night when the premiere of Heeramandi took place. Obviously, it’s a big series and all the big stars won’t be waiting for him to watch all those 6 episodes.
So, only the first two episodes of the Magnum Opus were screened in front of guests that included Salman Khan, Alia Bhatt, Vicky Kaushal, Karan Johar and many more.
Needless to say, those guests would be all songs and praises for Heeramandi as industry insiders never provide a critical perspective. Sadly, media people were also not invited in the premiere and thus, we don’t really know the reviews from them either.
So technically, Netflix India has left us feeling clueless about the actual content of the show even though they organized a big premiere. It was a premiere of a namesake and you know how.
But, Netflix India is no fool. They are promoting the pictures of the event on social media for those who can be lured by the big names attached to the show.
