Well, a lot has been said and seen about the men of Mirzapur, but let us remind you that the ladies of Mirzapur are no less. In Amazon Prime Video’s Mirzapur 2 get ready to witness the queens and lionesses of Mirzapur rise up with guns and power.
Whether it’s Gajgamini Gupta aka Golu (Shweta Tripathi Sharma), Dimpy Pandit (Harshita Shekhar Gaur), Beena Tripathi (Rasika Dugal), Vasudha Pandit (Sheeba Chaddha) or the new additions to the female cast including Isha Talwar and the character of Rati Shankar Shukla’s wife played by Meghna Malik, all look extremely powerful.
These women of Mirzapur 2 know what they want and are determined to take their revenge. Golu lost her sister and Dimpy lost her friend when Sweety Gupta died a tragic death at the hands of Munna Tripathi. But these two strong girls haven’t shed a single tear so far because for them it’s about survival and revenge right now.
Beena Tripathi’s track is quite different from all others in the show. While she does not seek revenge from anyone, there’s a dark secret that this smart woman wouldn’t want to come out. After all she is the wife of Akhandanand Tripathi aka Kaleen Bhaiya – the King of Mirzapur and moreover she knows how to survive all odds.
Meghna Malik looks damn strong as she plays the role of the widow of Rati Shankar Shukla, old rival of Kaleen Bhaiya and his family. The way she tells her son, Sharad (Anjum Sharma) that Mirzapur needs to be seized from the Tripathis to avenge his husband’s death is so very impactful.
Coming to Isha Talwar’s role in the second season of Mirzapur on Amazon Prime Video, nothing much has been revealed about her character in the show. But we can see her saying in one of the promotional videos that whether a woman is from Chambal or UP, if she has picked up a gun that means there is trouble. Now that definitely says that she too is going to be a critical part of this second season of Mirzapur.
Watch these daring women take control of your screens on October 23 as Mirzapur season 2 starts streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
