In a recent interview with Esquire, director J. C. Chandor has declared his upcoming directional, Kraven the Hunter, a tragedy. The film has Kick-Ass and Bullet Train fame Aaron Taylor-Johnson in the lead role.
Chandor has disclosed that ‘Kraven the Hunter’ is set before the protagonist and Spider-Man’s first-ever face-to-face encounter. The film will explore Sergei’s childhood days and his complex relationship with his father, Nikolai Kravinoff.
The helmer also pointed out that Sony stopped him from promoting the film as a tragedy. “When the final credits roll on this film, if you’ve been paying attention, you won’t have the feeling that this is all going to end great,” he said.
It will be interesting to see how ‘Kraven the Hunter’ performs at the global box office. The forthcoming superhero flick will be the first Rated-R entry in the SSU. It was scheduled to hit the theatres worldwide on October 6 this year. However, it has been pushed back to
August 30, 2024, due to the ongoing actors’ and writers’ strikes.
