More than three weeks have passed since the premiere of The Witcher Season 2 on Netflix. And its triumphant streaming run has created and shattered several OTT records. Now, the show is in the list of top 10 most-watched shows on Netflix’s streaming service. Fans have enjoyed the sophomore season of Andrzej Sapkowski’s adaptation for more than 462.5 million hours within the first 24 hours of its worldwide premiere. The second season’s positive critical reception and strong plot, as compared to the first instalment, have helped it in achieving this OTT milestone.
However, Season 1 performed slightly better in terms of viewing hours, garnering 541 million hours within the first 24 hours of its release. On the other hand, Bridgerton has topped the list with 625.49 million hours of view-time in its pocket.
After stealing the hearts of DC fans after donning the black suit of Superman, Cavill is looking to leave his mark in 2022. The star is currently busy filming Enola Holmes sequel with Millie Bobby Brown in the lead role and Matthew Vaughn’s forthcoming spy action film, Argylle. Plus, he will bestow his voice to the character of Ryan Enright in Star Citizen’s upcoming gaming instalment, Squadron 42.
