Here Is Why We Think ‘Antim: The Final Truth’ Will Be a Unique Film

Here Is Why We Think ‘Antim: The Final Truth’ Will Be a Unique Film

In December 2020, Salman Khan Films had unveiled the first look video (attached below) of Mahesh Manjrekar’s upcoming directorial film ‘Antim: The Final Truth’ featuring superstar Salman Khan and talented actor Aayush Sharma in the lead roles.

It’s a two-hero film in which Salman Khan is reportedly playing the role of a Sikh cop, who fights the land mafia. While Aayush Sharma’s character will reportedly be essaying the role of a gangster in the film. Interestingly, Salman Khan had earlier transformed himself for the role of a Sikh soldier in the 2008 film ‘Heroes’. And in his upcoming film too, the eminent actor has nailed the look.

However, now it is being reported by some news portals that the theatrical release of ‘Antim: The Final Truth’ might indefinitely get postponed because of the prevailing circumstances. Moreover, as per a report, the makers of the film might want to space out the release of two Salman Khan films (‘Radhe’ & ‘Antim: The Final Truth’). Initially, the film was purportedly eyeing for an October theatrical release but according to a recent report, that seems unlikely considering the present situation.

Coming back to the film, besides the majestic presence of Salman Khan, ‘Antim: The Final Truth’ seems to be an interesting venture also because the film is reportedly based on the 2018 Marathi film ‘Mulshi Pattern’, which was written and directed by Pravin Tarde. The 2018 film ostensibly portrayed the story of the hardships faced by farmers and how they resort to criminal activities because of the system.

Furthermore, the upcoming film ‘Antim: The Final Truth’ has been directed by acclaimed filmmaker Mahesh Manjrekar, who has earlier given us some beautifully executed films such as ‘Vaastav’ (starring Sanjay Dutt), ‘Astitva’ (starring Tabu), and ‘Viruddh’ (starring legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan).

While Salman Khan’s films are generally high on entertainment quotient, Mahesh Manjrekar’s directorial ventures are usually content-driven that usually revolve around some important issue. So, Salman Khan and Mahesh Manjrekar’s creative synergy is bound to result in some interesting cinematic fireworks for sure. And that’s another important reason why it’s going to be a unique film and why we should look forward to watching the film ‘Antim: The Final Truth’, whenever it releases.

Besides directing films, the National Film Award-winner Mahesh Manjrekar has also acted in some popular films and television series like ‘The Big Bull’, ‘The White Tiger’, ‘Selection Day’, ‘Slumdog Millionaire’ and ‘Kaante’, to name a few. The celebrated actor-director Mahesh Manjrekar has also shared screen space with superstar Salman Khan in many films including ‘Wanted’, ‘Dabangg’, ‘Ready’, ‘Bodyguard’, ‘Jai Ho’, etc.
