‘Manifest’ season 4 part 1 is just a couple of days to go on Netflix and anticipations are rising by the hour. With a ton of questions on their mind, fans are eagerly waiting for the first half of its supersized Season 4, a year and a half since the show last aired. Moreover, the cliffhanger at which season three ended has left all puzzled. *spoiler alert* ahead for those who haven’t seen the show or season three yet!
Ahead of the premiere of first part of final season of ‘Manifest’ consisting of ten episodes on Netflix on 4th November, here are some burning questions answered:
Where did ‘Manifest’ season 3 leave off?
Manifest Season 3 ended with the murder of Grace, Ben’s wife and the mother of Olive, Cal and Eden, at the hands of Angelina. Grace is comforted by a grown-up Cal before she dies. Meanwhile, the tail fin, a piece of wreckage that may hold the key to unlocking the mystery of Flight 828, is returned to the ocean. After the tail fin is returned, Flight 828 pilot Bill Daly reappears in the wreckage of the plane (being housed by the secret Project Eureka task force) before he and the entire plane disappear in a flash of light.
How does Grace’s death and Eden’s abduction affect the Stone family?
Stone family has been through a lot but this double loss is a lot to take for Ben (Josh Dallas) and Olive (Luna Blaise), who was helplessly trapped in her room while her mother was murdered. Fast forward two years, Ben isn’t handling it well and is full of profound anger. With a long grief beard, Ben can’t help it but have that complicated and rough feeling of blaming his son for it.
What happened to Cal?
Cal has already gone through one bout of mysterious aging while on Flight 828 but this time it’s different as he’s returned home older, claiming to know what they need to do now after disappearing and coming back after touching the tail fin. Given that he was only gone a few hours, how did he age so rapidly? Where did he go and how did he get that clarity? But this second time travel also mean graver danger for Cal and his family!
In this new season Cal is trying to figure out where he went, why he’s no longer experiencing callings, and how to connect with his bereaved father. That’s complicated by the fact that he’s pretending to be someone else to the outside world, lest they should question his rapid and sudden aging.
Where did Flight 828 wreckage and Captain Daly go?
Flight 828’s been the unspoken star of ‘Manifest’ and has been a mystery since start, exploding in the very first episode of season 1, then turning up on the bottom of the ocean at the end of Season 2 with newer mysteries unfolding in season 3 where by the end the plane’s wreckage vanished from Project Eureka’s home base alongwith Captain Daly (Frank Deal) who had suddenly appeared in the cockpit. While the plane wreckage was the testing ground for the agencies, what happens next now that it’s gone!
Where are Angelina and Eden?
Angelina snatched her “guardian angel” Eden and bolted before Grace died. But her ability to stay on the run might be limited as she and the now-toddler try to stay off the grid. Previously, the Stones were her closest allies. Now, as she tries to remain with Eden, who will help her? And given how young Eden was when she was kidnapped, will she even remember her family?
Will the passengers survive the dreaded death date and what about the “life-boat”?
What could be worse than knowing that you were brought back to life only to die again! That’s what’s troubling the 828ers who discovered in the third season that they will die in 2024 and to survive this death date the only way is if everyone who was on the flight follows their “callings” as Zeke did.
But is simply following the still-mysterious callings really enough to prevent the passengers from meeting what seems to be certain death? Will it take something else to get them out from under the threat? Or are they simply doomed?
‘Manifest’ season 4 part 1 will premiere on Netflix on 4th November, 2022.
