FX action thriller series ‘The Old Man’ premiered on the network on 16th June and until now, three out of seven episodes have been aired so far while the fourth one will be out today. Already renewed for a second season, the show is being widely admired by audiences and critics alike. ‘The Old Man’ currently holds an impressive 94% critics score on Rotten Tomatoes and an 8.6 user rating on IMDb.
As you might be aware that ‘The Old Man’ was initially supposed to release in India on the Disney+ Hotstar OTT platform on 16th June itself, however, that didn’t happen for some reason. But the good news is that Indian OTT viewers may not have to wait any longer to enjoy the show. Because, as per the latest info, ‘The Old Man’ will start streaming on the Disney Plus Hotstar OTT platform from 1st July, that is, tomorrow onwards. The streaming date for ‘The Old Man’ was earlier ratified by Disney+ Hotstar’s Malaysian social media handles.

Disney+ Hotstar brand of streaming service is currently functional in India, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Thailand. So, if Disney+ Hotstar Malaysia has announced that ‘The Old Man’ will be out on 1st July, then most likely it will stream on the same date in other regions too, including India. However, as of now, the same has not been officially confirmed by Disney+ Hotstar’s Indian handles.
Based on Thomas Perry’s book of the same name, ‘The Old Man’ series features Jeff Bridges as a former CIA operative turned fugitive Dan Chase, who is living a low-key life in Upstate New York. The goings-on suddenly take a U-turn when an assassin turns up to kill him. On his trail is Harold Harper (John Lithgow), the FBI Assistant Director who shares a complicated past with Dan. Now, the retired agent must reconcile with his past to stay ahead in the cat-and-mouse game.
