The Mishra family is back to entertain us! Both The Viral Fever (TVF) and SonyLIV are teasing the fans with frequent posts of “Gullak Season 3 coming soon” via their respective social media handles. But they have not yet revealed the third season’s release date. Many rumours emerged on social media, hinting at the dispatch date of March 11. But none of those rumours turned out to be true. Here is what we know about the series so far!
Shreyansh Pandey’s Gullak debuted in June 2019. It received an amazing response from both the critics and the audience. Season 1 exceeded expectations in terms of viewership and reception, inspiring Pandey and TVF to go for its sophomore instalment. The second season came out in January last year. A total of 10 episodes have been dispatched by the makers of Gullak so far.
The first season focused on the middle-class life of the Mishra family. Annu (Vaibhav Raj Mishra) gets constantly scolded by his parents, Santosh (Jameel Khan) and Shanti Mishra (Geetanjali Kulkarni), for his joblessness and his constant failures in governmental services exams. On the other hand, his younger brother, Aman (Harsh Mayar), gets tensed due to his board examinations. The finale showed Shanti falling unconscious after hearing the news of Annu failing in his services exam. But she and her husband forgive him in the end.
Season 2 displayed Annu trying hard to open up his gas agency with the help of Prinsu Bhaiya and Tyagi. But his mother forces him to buy groceries with his Aman, causing him to miss a very important meeting with Prinsu and Tyagi for the development of his gas business.
What do we know about the release date of Gullak Season 3? It didn’t emerge on March 11. And more than half of this year’s March has passed. So, we should expect the third season to arrive at the end of March or in April this year via the SonyLIV streaming platform. Stay tuned for more updates.
