‘Peaky Blinders‘ has raked in millions of fans all around the world ever since it hit TV screens back in 2013. The series announced some time ago that Season 6 of Peaky Blinders will be its last season, though the characters might come back in another medium – most likely, as part of a Peaky Blinders film.
Now, much to the delight of fans, the creator of the show Steven Knight has given the first indication of when the film will be a reality. Speaking at the London Film Festival, Knight said that the Peaky Blinders film will begin production in eighteen months time, which effectively means in the first quarter of 2023. The Peaky Blinders film will also be set in and shot in Birmingham. The film will be the last of the Peaky Blinders franchise, though there may be spin-offs of the show.
Coming to the all important question of when will the Peaky Blinders finale season premiere on BBC and Netflix, Steven Knight shared that “season 6 is shot and almost completely edited”. Peaky Blinders Season 6 will stream in Spring of 2022, which effectively means that the show will premiere its final season sometime in March 2022.
