Vikram Prabhu‘s upcoming police drama, Taanakkaran, has locked its release window. The movie will soon drop on the Disney+ Hotstar streaming platform. However, the makers have not yet revealed the exact release date of the film. But they did reveal that it will arrive next month on the OTT platform. This will be the actor’s second OTT release after last year’s Pulikkuthi Pandi via Sun NXT. Here’s what we know about the movie!
The film’s plot revolves around a young but aggressive police trainee. The audience will witness Vikram in this role. He, along with other trainees, faces the immoral and cruel hardships of his seniors in the training camp. After tolerating their ruthless behaviour for some time, he decides to step up for himself and his other training buddies. But also, we will see him facing the wrath of his seniors and the consequences of his actions as the movie progress.
Vikram might have led Pulikkuthi Pandi in 2021. But it was none other than Lakshmi Menon who stole the limelight with her exceptional performance in the film. So, the upcoming projects of the Tamil actor are going to be very crucial for him. Apart from Taanakkaram, he is also busy filming Paayum Oli Nee Yenakku and Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan: I. All these projects are scheduled to release this year.
The cast of Taanakkaram consists of performers like Vikram Prabhu, Anbuarasan, M. S. Bhaskar, Anjali Nair, and many more. Tamizh will helm the forthcoming Tamil drama.
