Veteran Malayalam superstar Mammootty’s most recent film ‘Christopher’ is finally coming to Prime Video in just a couple of days. Helmed by B. Unnikrishnan, ‘Christopher’ released in theatres last month and was well received by both audiences and critics.
‘Christopher’ is a Malayalam language vigilante action thriller film and follows a maverick cop who is forced to work outside the limits of law, when the system fails. The story weaves across the past and present while revealing the motives that shape his actions.
Written by Udaykrishna, ‘Christopher’, in addition to Mammootty, stars a talented ensemble cast of Vinay Rai, Amala Paul, Aishwarya Lakshmi, R. Sarathkumar, Sneha, Aditi Ravi, Shine Tom Chacko, Deepak Parambol and Siddiqui among others.
While B. Unnikrishnan and Udaykrishna’s last film ‘Aaraattu’ starring another veteran Malayalam star Mohanlal received mostly negative reviews, they were able to deliver a thrilling entertainer in ‘Christopher’. It will be interesting to see how it does on OTT given the reach it will get with multiple language premiere.
Fans have been waiting for the film to come out on digital medium and the makers do not want to make them wait for long as ‘Christopher’ is all set to premiere on Prime Video exactly one month after its theatrical release on 9th March, 2023 in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu and Hindi. Kannada speaking fans might have to wait longer.
