The question of where will House Of The Dragon stream in India became an even bigger mystery when Prime Video India announced its tie-up with HBO Max this week, by which a massive slate of HBO Max Original shows and movies will stream exclusively on Prime Video India.
Many wondered whether House Of The Dragon will stream on Prime Video as per new deals and tie-ups; or will it stream on Disney Plus Hotstar, just like its predecessor, Game Of Thrones.
Well, now Disney Plus Hotstar itself has thrown light on the matter. The streaming giant took to its social media handles tonight, to announce that the ‘dragons’ were coming to Disney Plus Hotstar! So finally, here is the information we’ve all been waiting for with bated breath – ‘House Of The Dragon‘ will stream on Disney Plus Hotstar in India.
House Of The Dragon will premiere on Disney Plus Hotstar along with its US premiere on HBO. Since we in India are ahead of the US by almost 12 hours, each episode will premiere in India on the next morning of its US premiere date. House Of The Dragon Episode 1 will air on HBO and HBO Max in the US on Sunday night, 21st August. Hence, HOTD Episode One will stream on Disney Plus Hotstar on Monday morning, 22nd August. House Of The Dragon consists of ten episodes. The series will air in the one episode per week format. The finale episode is slated to release on October 23rd, 2022.

House Of The Dragon is set two hundred years before the events of Game of Thrones. The series chronicles the beginning of the end of House Targaryen, the events leading up to the Targaryen civil war, known as the “Dance of the Dragons”, and the war itself. The series is adapted from the book Fire & Blood, by George R. R. Martin.
HBO dropped a new trailer for House Of The Dragon this evening. The almost 3-minute-long trailer is a treat to watch. It is well-cut, with a compelling background score, a given since the composer is again Ramin Djawadi; and yes, so many dragons!
