HIT 2 starring Adivi Sesh has been a film in the making for quite some time now and soon the makers are going to release the film’s teaser on 3rd November. Before that film’s writer and director Sailesh Kolanu took it upon himself to introduce the audience to “The HIT Verse”.
Kolanu explains how he imagined a fictional Homicide Intervention Team (HIT) as a department across India and moving forward with each part different officers would take charge over different cases and thus would expand the HIT universe in scale and span.
He also made an analogy with the Marvel characters to explain how each officer in different parts have their own role to play and will eventually come together to solve one big case.
While all this looks pretty amusing what would be much better is if HIT2 is released not only in Telugu but in other languages too, specially Hindi. ‘HIT: The First Case’ had a Hindi remake with Rajkumar Rao in lead recently but could not match the success of the original one.
Now after ‘Major’, Adivi Sesh has made a good name for himself in the Hindi speaking areas and it would be perfect to have the original version of HIT2 itself available in Hindi rather than waiting for a remake which might or might not live up to the expectations.
Written and directed by Sailesh Kolanu, HIT2 or ‘HIT: The Second Case’ is a standalone sequel to ‘HIT: The First Case’ (2020) and stars Adivi Sesh in the lead role as investigating officer Krishna Dev aka KD. Presented by Nani, HIT2 is produced by Prashanti Tiprineni under her Wall Poster Cinema banner and will release in theatres on 2nd December, 2022.
