Character intro videos for Amazon Prime Video’s upcoming web series ‘Mumbai Diaries 26/11’ are out now. Featuring Mohit Raina, Konkana Sen Sharma and Shreya Dhanwanthary among others, the videos tell heartwarming experiences of those who were there on that dreaded day.
First in this series is Satyajeet Dubey who plays the role of Dr. Mirza in the show. He narrates about how none of the things such as years of studies, lengthy lectures, huge books, complex cases, theories and much more that are required to become a doctor helped him that day because no book taught him about the reality that he had to face.
Next is Mohit Raina’s Dr. Oberoi who was a college topper, a golf medalist and had won multiple awards but found that day to be the toughest test ever where failure was not a choice.
Mrunmayee Deshapande stars as Dr. Sujata Ajawale in ‘Mumbai Diaries 26/11’ who always thought that being smart is the most important quality needed to become a doctor. But that day she understood how courage and strength are more relevant than having a sharp mind and being smart.
Then there’s Konkana Sen Sharma’s Chitra Das who talks about two types of suffering, one that is healed by medicine and the other healed by time. But 26/11 opened new wounds that no medicine could ever heal.
Shreya Dhanwanthary as journalist Mansi Hirani is next in line who explains how people in her profession are always in search of breaking news. But no matter who much you train for it, certain stories end up breaking you.
Last but not the least there’s Natasha Bharadwaj who plays Dr. Parekh in ‘Mumbai Diaries 26/11’. People always tend to remember their firsts, while Dr. Parekh doesn’t want to, she can’t help it. It was the first day of her first job and she will never be able to forget that unfortunate day.
An Amazon original series ‘Mumbai Diaries 26/11’ is the story of doctors, nurses, medical staff and other professionals like journalists who were witness to the horrors of the terrorist attacks that took place in Mumbai in November 2008 and shook the entire nation.
Nikhil Advani (‘Kal Ho Naa Ho’, ‘Batla House’) has created and co-directed ‘Mumbai Diaries 26/11’ with Nikhil Gonsalves (‘Hasmukh’). An Emmay Entertainment Production, the series stars Konkana Sen Sharma, Mohit Raina, Shreya Dhanwanthary, Satyajeet Dubey, Natasha Bharadwaj, Tina Desai, Mrunmayee Deshpande and Prakash Belwadi among others. Monisha Advani and Madhu Bhojwani have produced the Amazon original series.
Mumbai Diaries 26/11 will premiere only on Amazon Prime Video on 9th September, 2021.
