Here’s Why Fahadh Faasil’s Addition To Allu Arjun’s Pushpa Is A Huge Win!

Here’s Why Fahadh Faasil’s Addition To Allu Arjun’s Pushpa Is A Huge Win!

Fahadh Faasil’s first look from highly anticipated pan India film ‘Pushpa’ is here and he looks menacing as hell. Faasil will be seen in the role of IPS officer Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat who is the villain of the Allu Arjun starrer ‘Pushpa – The Rise’ coming to theatres this Christmas.

Faasil sports a unique look for the action thriller film with a bald head and a thick moustache. The dangerous look in his eyes and a slight mark on his forehead just add to the chill. Every detail about his look has been given attention to and this gets clear from the earring in his ear, the gold watch he is seen wearing in one hand and a kada (steel or cast iron bangle for men) in another. He also has a gun placed in a holster around his waist.

It’s not just his look that is intricately detailed but also his surrounding. Fahadh stands in front of the national emblem, leaning forward with both his hands resting on a desk which has items like a wooden bar with his name and designation, a pen stand, Ashok Stambh (national emblem of India), a landline phone, a keyboard, some files, a paperweight and his sunglasses among other things.

‘Pushpa – The Rise’ marks National Award winning actor Fahadh Faasil’s debut in Telugu films and his addition to the cast is a big advantage for the film. While it goes without saying that Fahadh is a brilliant actor with a number of credible titles to his name, it’s not just his good name in the Malayalam film industry but also the nationwide recognition he gained in recent time.

Where the situation was grim for theatres with the uncertainty of pandemic looming large, it did not stop Fahadh who made the most out of it and went for back to back to digital releases. These include ‘C U Soon’, ‘Joji’ and ‘Malik’ premiering on Amazon Prime Video and ‘Irul’ on Netflix.

That’s the reason Fahadh coming on board for ‘Pushpa’ opens up the film for a whole new range of movie buffs who have loved his films on OTT. Take note that this will be in addition to his niche Malayalam fan following that is eagerly waiting to catch the star on big screen.

Pushpa’ is first of the two parts of the action-thriller film starring Allu Arjun, Fahadh Faasil and Rashmika Mandanna in the lead. Its story is based on red sanders smuggling in the Seshachalam Hills of the Rayalseema region of Andhra Pradesh.

Written and directed by Sukumar, the much anticipated film ‘Pushpa’ is produced by Naveen Yerneni and Y. Ravi Shankar of Mythri Movie Makers along with Muttamsetty Media. ‘Pushpa – The Rise’ is scheduled to release in theatres this Christmas.
