Check out the comment section of any post or tweet by Amazon Prime Video India or for that matter Manoj Bajpayee’s social media handles these days, and you are bound to find recurring questions and requests about the trailer release of ‘The Family Man‘ Season 2.
The much awaited sequel season of ‘The Family Man’ is set to release on Amazon Prime Video on 12th February and before that they had announced the trailer launch to happen on 19th January. But now a week later, there are still no signs of the trailer and this has the fans a little agitated as they have all been waiting for it very eagerly.
Both Amazon Prime Video and Manoj Bajpayee have been dropping encrypted posts and tweets about the series, raising the hype around the already highly anticipated ‘The Family Man’ Season 2 and its trailer. But is it really worth it?
A part of the audience is already upset, even angry, with Prime Video after the Tandav and Mirzapur row, and now with the unnecessary or unexplained delay in the trailer launch of ‘The Family Man’ Season 2, isn’t the streaming giant taking unwanted risks?
If the OTT platform has valid reasons for the delay, its understandable but if its a planned marketing or promotional strategy, it seems completely overboard. Moreover, it can easily fire back, remember when Amazon Prime Video made the trailer release of Nani’s ‘V’ conditional on completing a collage poster of the film. It obviously didn’t go down well with the fans back then, who felt it was too much to ask for.
And it’s anyways just a trailer that will only offer a small peek into the much more intriguing fuller version of the series. The complete series with the story unfolding with each consecutive episode is any day more important than the trailer which will be easily forgotten as soon the series premieres.
Let’s see when and how does Amazon Prime Video releases the trailer of ‘The Family Man’ Season 2, until then all we can do is wait!
The Family Man Season 2 is all set to launch on Amazon Prime Video on 12th February, 2021.
