An OTT platform can have millions of subscribers and if it is as prominent as SonyLIV then naturally…
They have a really appreciable subscriber base that is enjoying their great content on a consistent basis. Needless to say, they have one of the best libraries on the Indian OTT. Great series and even better licensed films like Bramayugam, 2018 and more keep exciting audiences to watch more and more of SonyLIV.
It is also very very natural that a lot of them would face severe problems with the platform. SonyLIV has been notorious for fostering bugs that always hamper the user experience.
But, there are remedies and apparatus to complain against such bugs. Are they helpful?
Not really. SonyLIV has a WhatsApp service where people can register their complaints. Like most companies, initially, there is a robot that transfers the chat to a human expert according to his/her expertise.
But, does it truly transfer? Many customers feel that it doesn’t. They truly feel that the WhatsApp services are a gimmick at best. The chat service says that they are transferring the chat but the reply from a human never really comes.
Yes, it is sad and there are multiple users who raised their voices against it. This might be a case with only a few customers but those few people also deserve an answer. Let’s hope the best for them.

Facing TV app issues since almost a month. And there's no way to connect with you for help. Your WhatsApp connect too is automated, and giving same answers since 3 days. Ridiculous. Despite 24 hrs of wait, no one calls pic.twitter.com/yiKPE37m23
@SonyLIV @SonyLIVHelps Charged twice for the monthly plan. No option to refund my money. Useless support service on Whatsapp. Last time I posted on X , Sonyliv asked me to deleted my tweet instead of resolving it.
