We had earlier informed our readers that homegrown streaming giant ZEE5 has bagged the post-theatrical streaming rights for ‘Chup’. The platform has now revealed the OTT release date of ‘Chup’. The murder mystery and thriller will premiere on streaming on November 25, 2022, which is the coming Friday.
In consideration for the linguistic diversity of our country, ‘Chup’ will release on ZEE5 in the prominent Indian languages of Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada. The ‘Chup’ streaming date comes after an exclusive theatrical window of two months, in keeping with the new streaming diktat in Bollywood.
‘Chup’ stars Dulquer Salmaan, Sunny Deol, Shreya Dhanwanthary and Pooja Bhatt in pivotal roles. It is written and directed by R. Balki. The film draws inspiration from the maven of filmmaking, the late Guru Dutt. ‘Chup’ pays homage to the late director’s film Kaagaz Ke Phool, even as a serial killer is on the loose, killing unsuspecting film critics.
