Glen Powell caused quite a stir on the internet with his last feature ‘Anyone But You’. The American actor is also famous for his roles in big titles like ‘Top Gun: Maverick’ and ‘Set It Up’.
His highly buzzed and anticipated upcoming project, ‘Hit Man’, which is scheduled for a select theatrical release on May 24 is all set to drop on Netflix on June 7. The charismatic trailer that was recently released sets an intriguing premise as lead actress Adria Arjona, who plays Maddy Masters refuses to believe Powell’s character Gary Johnson when he proclaims to be a hitman.
Inspired by the true story of a nerdy part-time teacher who works undercover for the police as a contract killer in sting operations, the Netflix project is being defined as the perfect steamy dark comedy of the year!
The montages of the trailer successfully highlight the many different personalities that Johnson embodies while on the strange job. It also follows the romance Gary indulges in with Madison, a woman who falls for one of his fake hitman personas. They meet when she asks Gary’s persona Ron to kill her husband.
However, hilarity ensues when Maddy’s husband really turns up dead!
