The immensely talented Indian actor Rajkummar Rao is also one of the busiest actors nowadays. Yesterday, it was announced that Anubhav Sinha’s upcoming social drama titled ‘Bheed’ starring Rajkummar Rao and Bhumi Pednekar had locked a theatrical release of 18th November 2022. And now, the Hindi remake of the 2020 Telugu film titled ‘HIT: The First Case’ will now be released in cinemas on 15th July 2022. The Hindi remake features Rajkummar Rao and Sanya Malhotra in the lead roles.
Like the parent film, Sailesh Kolanu will also direct the Hindi remake of the critically and commercially successful film ‘HIT: The First Case’. Interestingly, the sequel to the 2020 Telugu movie, which has been titled ‘HIT: The Second Case’, will release two weeks later, that is, on 29th July 2022.
The first Telugu film ‘HIT: The First Case’ was an action thriller that featured Vishwak Sen and Ruhani Sharma in the lead roles. The plot revolved around an astute police officer of the titular Homicide Intervention Team aka HIT who makes it his mission to find a missing woman.
Rajkummar Rao, who is fresh off the heels after his widely admired performance in the social comedy-drama ‘Badhaai Do’, has several other projects lined up besides ‘HIT: The First Case’ and ‘Bheed’. The list includes Vasan Bala’s crime drama movie ‘Monica O My Darling’, Raj & DK’s upcoming web series ‘Guns & Gulaabs’, and ‘Mr. & Mrs. Mahi’ co-starring Janhvi Kapoor. While Sanya Malhotra’s forthcoming acting projects include the SRK-Atlee film and the Netflix cop dramedy film ‘Kathal’.
