The trailer of Hocus Pocus 2 is out now. The sequel is coming 29 years after the original came out in 1993. The fantasy horror-comedy tells the story of three witches who resurrect after 300 years as they reign terror over a boy who just moved to Salem with his parents.
Just like the first film, this one stars Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, Kathy Najimy, and Doug Jones who reprise their respective roles.
Whitney Peak, Lilia Buckingham, Belissa Escobedo, Hannah Waddingham, Tony Hale, and Sam Richardson also join the cast in this upcoming film.
Directed by Anne Fletcher, the film releases on Disney+Hotstar on 30th July 2022 in the scariest season which is Halloween season.
The developments on the sequel began in 2014 but after a significant delay of 8 years, the film is finally coming to screens.
The synopsis of Hocus Pocus 2 says, “Twenty-nine years after the events of Hocus Pocus (1993), three high-school students must work together to stop the Sanderson sisters who have returned to present-day Salem.”
Talking about the trailer, it does not give a much greater glimpse of the witches but it wouldn’t be a surprise if more trailers come.
