Hoichoi has announced 24 new shows for its new slate which will be releasing back to back.
The platform has released a video featuring all the shows. The first show is ‘Tangkulung e Eken‘ which stars Anirban Chakroborty and is directed by Joydeep Mukherjee. This new season of ‘Eken Babu’ will be telling the story of a new adventure of the quirky detective in a dangerous jungle. It will release in this December.
From director Aditi Roy comes a new series ‘Parineeta’, an adaptation of Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay’s classic story which has been adapted to silver screens both in Bengali and Hindi.
The trailer for ‘Sampurna Season 2’ has already been out. Sampurna tells the story of a housewife who helps another young girl in a case of sexual abuse and finds out that the lawyer representing her is the man who actually abused herself long ago.
Srijit Mukherjee’s ‘Durgo Rahasya’ starring Sohini and Anirban Bhattacharya is next on the list. It is definitely one of the most anticipated titles of the year. The trailer will be releasing on the 6th of October.
Rahool Mukherjee comes with a series ‘Devi’. Koushik Ganguly’s ‘Abar Rajneeti’ is the sequel to ‘Rajneeti’ and Extends the political thriller further. Aritra Sen comes with a new comedy series ‘Ekushe Pa’. Sourav Chakroborty comes with his directorial series ‘Chemistry Mashi’. The original series ‘Gobhir Joler Machh’ gets a second season.
Director Joydeep Mukherjee comes with another directorial. Ritwick Chakroborty Stars In his ‘Adv. Achinta Aich’ which looks like an out and out comedy show. Abhrajit Sen comes with a romantic drama ‘Antarmahal’ starring Isha Gupta. It will come out in November this year. Aditi Roy’s another show ‘Bodhon’ gets a second season and it will be starring Sandipta Sen.
The maestro Debakoy Bhattacharya has directed “Modhyorater Opera” which might be a romance or a fantasy film. The romantic comedy ‘Dakghor’ starring Ditipriya too gets a second season.
Aditi Roy has a blast with just too many titles. Another title named ‘Lojja’ too is directed by her. Rahool Mukherjee’s ‘Choudhury Paribar’ will be a family drama with a big star cast including actors like Paran Bandyopadhyay.
Parambrata Chattopadhyay returns to direction with the thriller ‘PornoSharbarir Shaap’. Ritwick Chakroborty’s quirky forgetful detective ‘Gora’ will be returning for a third season. Sandipta Sen is having a second season with her drama series ‘Noshtoneer’.
Sahana Dutta’s ‘Kolonko’ will be releasing this year too. Tota Roychowdhury’s missing person thriller ‘Nikhoj’ too will be returning for a second season after the tremendous success of the show this year. Mimi Chatterjee stars in a legal thriller named ‘Jaha Bolibo Satya Bolibo’. It has been a long time since Mimi Chtterjee has starred in any movie.
Isha returns with the third season of ‘Indu’ created by Sahana Dutta. ‘Talmar Romeo Juliet’ is an adaptation of Shakespeare’s eternal story ‘Romeo Juliet’. Release dates of most of the shows are not yet revealed.
