The release date for Ritwick Chakroborty’s upcoming series ‘Mr. Kolketa’ has now been announced. It will be a Hoichoi special and will be releasing on the 8th of September.
It will tell the story of Mr. Kalakallol Dutta, who is nicknamed Kolke and is a lazy fellow who does not want to work. Kolke thinks of himself as a genius and he does not want to indulge in boring 9 to 5 jobs. Rather, he likes to explore the city of Kolkata and often finds himself in difficult situations. The project is being helmed by Surajit Chatterjee.
The tease for the show had been released a few days ago and the character looks spectacularly similar to Gora, another Hoichoi character played by Ritwick. The quirky and weird man is interested in the city like nothing else and finds pleasure in discovering the idiosyncrasies of the place.
Ritwick Chakroborty is the busiest actor in the Bengali film industry right now and he is announcing project after project with big budget producers. He will also be seen in a horror film directed by Parambrata Chattopadhyay. It was announced a few days ago that Parambrata will have Ritwick as the lead in his next directorial venture. Now it is officially announced, and the film is titled ‘Ekhane Andhokar’. Payel Sarkar will be playing the female lead in the movie. The makers have said there will be as much supernatural element as possible in it. There are many other projects in the pipeline that will star Ritwick as the lead.
