The anthology of 17 short films projects led by Chilean director and filmmaker Pablo Larrain and his brother Juan De Dios Larrain under their banner ‘Fabula’ teamed up with Lorenzo Mieli, CEO of Fremantle media. Pablo has teamed up with Netflix to provide this film for the audiences.
Pablo’s vision behind this project lies in the beauty of conveying how a global situation affected people in different and impactful ways during these past months. Also saying that however complex and difficult it has been but our experiences from everywhere are the same. He focuses to understand the unique shared moment.
Directors had a common form of shooting these films that is to use equipment found only at home and focus on their working lives from the inside. Nothing has been revealed about any of these films except that they are five – seven minutes in duration.
‘Homemade’ will be available on 30th June on Netflix, following are the films featuring –

8) Naomi Kawase (True Mothers, Sweet Bean) – short filmed in Nara, Japan
9) David Mackenzie (Hell or High Water, Outlaw King) – short filmed in Glasgow, Scotland
10) Maggie Gyllenhaal (The Kindergarten Teacher) – short filmed in Vermont, USA
11) Nadine Labaki & Khaled Mouzanar (Caramel, Capernaum) – short filmed in Beirut, Lebanon
12) Antonio Campos (The Devil All the Time) – short filmed in springs, New York City, USA
