There’s no dull day at Netflix and this time they have got the gorgeous diva Jennifer Lopez to not only star but also co-produce their next feature film that will be adapted from Isabella Maldonado’s novel ‘The Cipher’ that has been optioned by Netflix.
The official synopsis given by Netflix for ‘The Cipher’ adaptation reads, “FBI agent Nina Guerrero (to be played by Jennifer Lopez) finds herself drawn into a serial killer’s case after he strategically posts complex codes and riddles online corresponding to recent murders in order to lure her into a cat and mouse chase.”
The feature film that is yet to be titled and get a director will be produced by Elaine Goldsmith Thomas and Benny Medina alongside Jennifer Lopez. While Courtney Baxter will serve as the associate producer, Liza Fleissig, Ginger Harris-Dontzin, Isabella Maldonado, Catherine Hagedorn will executive produce the Netflix film.
Isabella Maldonado is an award-winning author who herself has worked for FBI before becoming a crime-fiction author. She was a graduate of the FBI National Academy in Quantico and the first Latina in her department to attain the rank of captain, she commanded the Special Investigations and Forensics Division before retiring after twenty-two years on the force.
Any further information about Netflix’s adaptation of ‘The Cipher’ starring Jennifer Lopez has not been revealed by the streaming giant as of now.
