Acclaimed filmmaker R. Balki’s next ‘Chup: Revenge of the Artist’, which is his ode to the legendary filmmaker Guru Dutt, has now got a release date. Unveiling the release date along with new posters and motion poster, the makers have revealed today that ‘Chup: Revenge of the Artist’ will release in cinemas on 23rd September, 2022.
The latest motion poster of ‘Chup: Revenge of the Artist’ is an edgy, creepy video that shows head shots of Dulquer Salmaan and Sunny Deol while in the rear is a deserted film set with a woman sitting in a chair and a man standing over her. It’s the iconic “Sar Jo Tera Chakraye” song in the background that makes its more riveting.
Written and direction by R. Balki (‘Paa’, ‘Cheeni Kum’, ‘Pad Man’), ‘Chup: Revenge of the Artist’ follows the story of Suresh, a lonely movie director who stumbles upon Shanti one evening and casts her as the lead in a film. In a twist of fate, Shanti becomes a superstar Suresh faces a decline in his career.
‘Chup: Revenge of the Artist’ stars Sunny Deol, Dulquer Salmaan, Shreya Dhanwanthary and Pooja Bhatt in the lead. With a story from R. Balki who has also penned the screenplay and dialogues alongside Raja Sen and Rishi Virmani, the film has music by Amit Trivedi.
Gauri Shinde, Anil Naidu, Dr. Jayantilal Gada and Rakesh Jhunjhunwala have produced ‘Chup: Revenge of the Artist’ with Pranab Kapadia, Anirudh Sharma, Dhaval Gada and Aksshay Gada as co-producers. The production companies behind the film are Hope Productions and Pen Studios. ‘Chup: Revenge of the Artist’ will release in theatres on 23rd September, 2022.
