Iconic Tamil star Rajinikanth’s 169th film in the lead role has now got a new title. Helmed by Nelson, the action thriller film will now be called ‘Jailer’.
The announcement for the title was made along with a new poster for the film which features a blood stained machete hanging from a chain. The greyish background looks like that of an abandoned industry or workshop. Going by the poster’s theme ‘Jailer’ gives a dark and brutal vibe.
Revealing the poster and title on social media, Sun Pictures wrote,

‘Jailer’ is written and directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, whose recent works include Sivakarthikeyan’s ‘Doctor’ and Vijay’s ‘Beast’. The film will be an Anirudh musical. The film is produced by Kalanithi Maran under his Sun Pictures banner.
While the details of the cast and crew of ‘Jailer’ are yet to be unveiled, there are reports suggesting Rajinikanth’s ‘Enthiran’ and ‘2.0’ co-star Aishwarya Rai Bachchan to be onboard for film though there’s no official word on it yet.
