The journey for the much awaited third season of Disney+ Hotstar’s crime thriller drama ‘Aarya’ has now begun. Based on Dutch crime-thriller drama series Penoza that ran for five seasons, ‘Aarya’ is helmed by renowned filmmaker Ram Madhvani (‘Neerja’, ‘Dhamaka’).
As per the latest reveal from Disney+ Hotstar, the development journey for ‘Aarya’ season 3 has now begun and is in full swing. The announcement video features powerful glimpses of Sushmita Sen as Aarya Sareen from the second season.
Unveiling the news on social media Disney+ Hotstar wrote,

Ram Madhvani, the creator of ‘Aarya’ had acquired the remake rights for the same back in 2011 and wanted to make it into a feature film but that couldn’t happen. He later decided to launch it as a web series on Disney+ Hotstar and since then has had very successful two seasons. It is now ready for the third season which is currently in scripting stage.
International Emmy Awards nominated ‘Aarya’ follows the story of a woman who under unforeseen circumstances has to join a mafia gang in order to protect her children and family and also avenge her husband’s murder. According to Sushmita Sen Aarya Sareen will return in a fierce avatar and in this new season she will go places and start her own story free from the obstacles of the past.
