Andrew Scott has starred in ‘Pride’, ‘1917’, ‘The Pursuit Of Love’ and even as the notorious Moriarty in ‘Sherlock’, but it is the show ‘Fleabag’ that gave him such a huge fandom to his acting. Scott is famous as the hot priest that he played in the show and his fans want to see more of him.
The Talented Mr. Ripley will be based on the 1955 novel of the same name by Patricia Highsmith. Previously, Matt Damon starred as the character of Tom Ripley in a 1999 feature film ‘The Talented Mr. Ripley’ directed by Anthony Minghella.
The show will tell the story of a very talented and handsome sociopath Tom Ripley who is actually an underachiever. Tom lives in New York of the 50s and he is hired to go to Italy and pursue a rich and spoiled boy Dickie Greenleaf to return to America.
Not much details about the upcoming show is revealed till now. It will have eight episodes and the rest of the cast is yet to be disclosed. Netflix is doing quite a good job in adapting novels and hopefully the platform will not let down the pre existing fans of the novel and the movie version.
