After multiple successful remakes, Disney+Hotstar has ordered another remake of a popular British show. This time, they have ordered a very intriguing Telugu show which revolves around three friends whose life revolves around a video game. Ignoring all other aspects, those three friends are too bewitched by the fantasy of defeating a virtual villain who happens to be the only goal in their life.
Dead Pixels aired in 2019. As the premise may sound, it is a funny show, almost like a sitcom. There are no dark aspects of gaming discussed and overall it will be an easy and light show.
BBC Studios India and Tamada Media are the production companies executing the remake. The series will be helmed by Aditya Mandala. It stars Niharika Konidela, Harsha Chemudu, Sai Ronak, Akshay Lagusani, and Bhavana Sagi.
This is one of those many BBC shows that are getting remade on Disney+Hotstar. Luther into Rudra, The Night Manager, Criminal Justice and many more are on the slate. There might be many others to follow but we do not have many details about the upcoming show.
