Disney+ Hotstar is set to bring a great new addition to the way cricket fans in India watch live sports. The streaming service has announced that it will offer live sports streams in Dolby Vision, starting with the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024. This makes Disney+ Hotstar the first in the world to stream live cricket matches in this high-quality format.

Dolby Vision technology enhances the viewing experience by providing lifelike colors, sharp contrast, and rich detail. However, this feature will only be available to Disney+ Hotstar’s Premium subscribers. So, if you are having the basic plan then you can conveniently not keep any such hopes.
To fully benefit from Dolby Vision, viewers will need 4K TVs compatible with the technology. The announcement did not clarify whether smartphones with Dolby Vision certification would support this feature.
So the list of ambiguities is as long as the intensity of excitement after this announcement. Everything boils down to providing a unique streaming experience to the users. Now that Disney+Hotstar is destined to survive with JioCinema, they better start building a more than good image among the users.
