Hotstar has just dropped the opening theme for their latest addition to their roster, Lootere. The song and the visuals are the brainchild of Hansal Mehta, Jai Mehta and Achint Thakkar, who have previously worked on Scam 1992 and Scam 2003. The theme songs and visuals that came out of the aforementioned series took the viewers by storm as it was very well received, having become an instant sensation.
The introduction for Lootere clearly involves hand-drawn style animation similar to what was seen in Scam 1992 and 2003, wherein they essentially gloss over the entire life cycle of the scammer in question with stunning and intuitive elements that are significant of certain incidents or moments that play a pivotal role in the story.
The same can be seen here, where a huge cargo freight ship is hijacked by a bunch of pioneers off the coast, and as they are force-docked a hero emerges amidst all the frenzy. The attention to detail when it comes to this title track, as usual, is stunning and almost instantly captivates the viewers and teases them just the right amount, ensuring a gripping experience. Catch Lootere on Disney+ Hotstar as it releases on March 22nd, 2024.
