As per reports in the media, Disney Plus Hotstar’s Out Of Love Season 2 will be helmed by Oni Sen, director of the universally acclaimed Voot Select show, Asur. Snaring Oni Sen as director for Season 2 is a coup of sorts for Out Of Love and Hotstar, one that will give it an advantageous push.
Out Of Love is the official Indian adaptation of hit BBC show, Doctor Foster, by Mike Bartlett. Season 1 of Out Of Love is a near perfect adaptation of Doctor Foster Season 1. However, an interesting bit of info in the media is that the plot of Out Of Love Season 2 will depart from the plot of Season 2 of the British original, taking its own turn after the events of Season 1.
Out Of Love depicts the story of a marriage devastated by infidelity and dishonesty. It stars Rasika Dugal as Dr Meera Kapoor, who lives with her family in idyllic Coonoor. Dr Meera is a married woman whose perfect world is shattered when she learns that her husband Akarsh is having an affair with a much younger woman. Purab Kohli plays the cheating husband.
Season 2 of Out Of Love will be more a custody battle between Meera and Akarsh. Both warring parties will want custody of their young, minor son. The shoot of Out Of Love Season 2 has already begun in Coonoor. Oni Sen is hot property as a director, after the stupendous success of mystery and crime thriller Asur on Voot Select. Out Of Love Season 1 was helmed by Tigmanshu Dhulia and Aijaz Khan.
