‘House of The Dragon‘ has been on a steady ascent so far. The critically acclaimed series has been having a dream run irrespective of biggies streaming alongside it on other significant streamers. The latest episode, episode 8, continues the glorious sprint, becoming the best-rated episode of the series yet again and is rated a jaw-dropping perfect 10 on IMDb.
The previous episode left us with huge plot twists, including the rejoining of forces of Rhaenyra Targaryen and Daemon Targaryen by marriage. With the hype as much as it was, fans feared the rising expectation from the series will also lead it to be reviewed more critically. Instead, things look like they have never been better.
Each episode of the series has had a good twist, something that has us on the side of our seats, making us wonder what just happened and what will happen next. While the events are scrutinized by social media keeping the buzz strong, ‘House of The Dragon’ somehow managed to go above and beyond in the next episode consistently, retaining the buzz and also increasing it. With its well-written screenplay, wholesome performances from the cast, and competent editing, it is a worthy successor for the juggernaut that HBO wanted after Game of Thrones’.
Episode 8 is also reportedly the lengthiest one so far. It is titled ‘Lord of the Tides’, referring to the title given to Corlys Velaryon, who is in charge of the royal navy in the small council. The episode will also, as per reports, have the last time jump this season. With two of the strongest characters in the series now officially on the same side, the episode definitely looks like it was worth the week’s wait.
