As you might be aware, the season finale of House Of The Dragon is now streaming. On Monday morning in India, the episode started streaming on Disney+Hotstar and there was suddenly a wave of the audience who rejoiced at the wonderful ending. The prequel series was successful in controlling the damage of previous seasons.
Regardless, the views earned by the House Of The Dragon finale are now out and there is one thing obvious. The views are in no way close to what the finale of Game Of Thrones had.
According to official sources, the season finale of the series got 9.3 million viewers which include both the cable channels of HBO and the streaming service which is HBO Max. This is even below the second episode of House Of The Dragon which had 10.2 million viewers.
Just to give you an idea, the season finale of Game Of Thrones concluded with 19.8 million viewers back in 2019.
But what is the reason?
There can be a lot of factors behind these not-so-impressive views but the biggest one has to be the leakage. If you remember then the season finale was leaked a couple of days before the official release and it must have hampered the views a lot.
But whatever the case may be, given the insane brilliance of the show, House Of The Dragon deserves more.
