The fifth instalment of one of the most popular Indian comedy franchise ‘Housefull’ has been launched today. Titled as ‘Housefull 5’ the film announcement comes four years after the last Housefull film in 2019.
The comedy film series began its journey in 2010 with Akshay Kumar and Riteish Deshmukh starring in each one of them. This time again these two stars will appear in ‘Housefull 5’ that will be directed by a new director on board Tarun Mansukhani who is well known for his films like ‘Dostana’ and ‘Drive’.
Touted to be India’s biggest comedy franchise, ‘Housefull’ comes from producer Sajid Nadiadwala who has produced all the films in the series under his banner Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment.
‘Housefull 5’ is slated for Diwali 2024 release and further details about the film’s cast and crew will be revealed later.
Although ‘Housefull’ films have often been criticised for their cringe and non sensical humour, they have managed to perform very well at the box office each time thus making it a commercially successful venture.
